[art commision]

As much as this looks good, sorry you hear you got screwed over for doing a commission for free unvoluntarily. My suggestion is that the next person who commissions you, keep tabs on them from time to time, maybe every 3 days or a week, to see if you can still connect with them. If you can't and haven't finished the commission yet, put it on hold until they contact you back, otherwise put it in the "scrapped vault".

I found your frontpaged piece as of today and went to see your other works. I am really relieve to find this one particular piece because I can recognize digital brushstroke shading from the orc's body hair, the ax, his shoes, and even his skin. I was almost skeptical whether you are relying any function of Generative AI, but I believe otherwise. You have actual human talent, and I'm glad you won't stop drawing by hand.

I still would like to see you include WIPs for your future artworks, just to see your progress.

I can say that all my drawings are made without use of that kind of "help". I'll keep in mind in include some wips for the next pieces in the future. Anyway really appreciate the feedback, thank you!

At this day and age, providing a WIP (or a screenshot of your drawing software or a drawing timelapse video) with your artwork is a reasonable and safe tactic of proving yourself as a "human artist" that doesn't rely on a machine to do the whole work.

The crazy thing is about the honesty!
Before the AI stuff, I could share my work without explaining anything.
Now, behind the scenes, WIP stuff is a must and can add value to the final piece.

I just want to say it is refreshing to read educational indie comics on Newgrounds with no punchline for comedic purposes. I was intrigued to find your first "Roots Shorts" frontpaged on the Art Portal, and already added it to my "webcomics to read 2" playlist. Although I am not superb with history, especially within the archeological areas, but reading this gives light to some interesting facts about its fields such as preservation of artifacts and fiction vs reality of archeologists such as this comic. There are some educational animations that are sometimes featured here, but are not really in the general areas of education whether they be history or science, just informational facts or news. I hope you take the opportunities here on NG positively well.

I'm really glad you like it. I always wanted to share a bit of knowledge of archaeology and history. The idea of these comics is a mix of information and talk about how archaeology process are made. Also it might be that some of them will be about anthropology as they are sometimes mixed together. So really happy with this welcome haha

Nice House of Mouse title reference! I like the fact you still came up with 31 villains, some from my suggestions list and others you personally know! Even though some of the villains are from the same series, it was still an intersting twist! Personally I don't really acknowledge Geiko as a villain, more of a competitive antagonist, despite her seemingly trying to kill Gogo, and I didn't really like how Eddsworld Legacy portrayed Tord as a fallen out friend turned villain, despite it being canon in Eddsworld now, but this is still a nice surprise nonetheless! I especially didn't know about Harold Ham from Nightmare Cops or Director Phobos from Project Nexus until now, and I forgot about Dogma from Binding of Isaac, so that's an additional surprise too!

Thank you so much!! It was tough deciding which villains I wanted to include in this piece. The list of villains I had envisioned changed about three times. I had used the Summergrounds Showdown prompts for ideas. Also, yeah I thought the same thing about Geiko, I wanted to include her since she’s a slasher archetype n she fits into the Halloween season.

Well done! Really well done! It's especially damn impressive that you managed to take on 2 art challenge trends this month, personally, that's a big accomplishment! Pretty funny you included the "no cross species love" sign as an antagonistic symbol from "There she is!" (BTW small gripe, the two cats look like they're standing on top of Bunny, and the Auditor seems overshadowed by the other characters.)

If you don't mind, could you also provide a small list of the additional villains you added here, just in case there are some villains we don't recognize?

also brunk and merle standing on top of izu and donnogan was intentional, i did the same thing with denver as i made him stand on top of happy fella's head
