I assume it's a "weeb" free zone.

*That works too.

LilyPixells responds:

it’s a *transphobia free zone

You know, a thought occurred, Skitzo probably does take a liking to this little dog. My guess is every time Skitzo kills him, he has the powers to resurrect him back from the afterlife, an endless torment cycle of death and revival. He could just move on to the next victim, but no, that dog is special to him, because that little dog still sees some friendly demeanor in him and never gave up on that belief, no matter how many times he kills and revives him, and he finds that amusing to him.

Comick responds:

Skitzo likes too kill and this dog never stays dead, so it an endless cycle of cat and mouse haha.

What about Doom, Gloom, and Magnet Shroom?

FrigidGrim responds:

will be making them eventually

As much as this looks good, sorry you hear you got screwed over for doing a commission for free unvoluntarily. My suggestion is that the next person who commissions you, keep tabs on them from time to time, maybe every 3 days or a week, to see if you can still connect with them. If you can't and haven't finished the commission yet, put it on hold until they contact you back, otherwise put it in the "scrapped vault".

chenfung responds:

Thank you for your suggestion. From now on, I will start requesting a deposit before beginning any commissioned artwork.

I found your frontpaged piece as of today and went to see your other works. I am really relieve to find this one particular piece because I can recognize digital brushstroke shading from the orc's body hair, the ax, his shoes, and even his skin. I was almost skeptical whether you are relying any function of Generative AI, but I believe otherwise. You have actual human talent, and I'm glad you won't stop drawing by hand.

I still would like to see you include WIPs for your future artworks, just to see your progress.

nakvi responds:

heey! so glad you notice those little details I've included on this piece

I can say that all my drawings are made without use of that kind of "help". I'll keep in mind in include some wips for the next pieces in the future. Anyway really appreciate the feedback, thank you!

At this day and age, providing a WIP (or a screenshot of your drawing software or a drawing timelapse video) with your artwork is a reasonable and safe tactic of proving yourself as a "human artist" that doesn't rely on a machine to do the whole work.

RodneyAmirebrahimi responds:

I 100% agree with you.
The crazy thing is about the honesty!
Before the AI stuff, I could share my work without explaining anything.
Now, behind the scenes, WIP stuff is a must and can add value to the final piece.
+the artist behind the piece has become significantly more important...

What software(s) do you use to create your illustrations if you don't mind me asking?

Ozrk responds:

It's one of those where I can't really give a straight answer. It's all about trying to master one of them. :]

Poison Ivy is gonna have a field day if she hears this.

Is they only excuse she needs

I just want to say it is refreshing to read educational indie comics on Newgrounds with no punchline for comedic purposes. I was intrigued to find your first "Roots Shorts" frontpaged on the Art Portal, and already added it to my "webcomics to read 2" playlist. Although I am not superb with history, especially within the archeological areas, but reading this gives light to some interesting facts about its fields such as preservation of artifacts and fiction vs reality of archeologists such as this comic. There are some educational animations that are sometimes featured here, but are not really in the general areas of education whether they be history or science, just informational facts or news. I hope you take the opportunities here on NG positively well.

manganart responds:

I'm really glad you like it. I always wanted to share a bit of knowledge of archaeology and history. The idea of these comics is a mix of information and talk about how archaeology process are made. Also it might be that some of them will be about anthropology as they are sometimes mixed together. So really happy with this welcome haha

If you really are experiencing burn-out, I highly suggest you start looking after yourself and take a break. Take some physical activities, write, or meditate, don't overwork yourself.

HeRetiK responds:

Oh I'm fine but I appreciate your concern!
