I used to use a Cintiq Companion with Photoshop and Sketchbook Pro, but after it broke I got an iPad and Procreate with the Apple Pencil. Procreate is by far my favourite program I've used so far (and it's only $8).

I actually have a different drawing app on my iPad called "SketchBook", which was free. I only experimented for a short while, but I never got back around on drawing on my iPad because I would either draw on my sketchbook(s) or practice on my Wacom Tablet. Thank you for sharing your personal preference!
